Lebo Pride Celebration 2022 Media Gallery

1 minute read

On June 18, 2022, the inaugural Lebo Pride Celebration took place in Clearview Commons of uptown Mt. Lebanon. It was a beautiful success, as evidenced by the joy in the faces of everyone who was there.

Pride belongs to the community, that’s why we’re posting our photos here. If you find yourself or someone you know, feel free to download the photos for personal use.

Photography was provided by Amanda Cetorelli (@_afc_photography) and Amy and Mike Froelich. Videography was done by Harrison Pittle of Pitt Films (@pitt_films). Live-streams and their recordings were managed by AuRise Creative.

Welcome & Opening Remarks

Rewatch the opening ceremony with speakers Lebo Pride President Asta Kill, PA State Representative Dan Miller, and Mt. Lebanon School Board President Jacob Wyland.

Yoga

The morning started off with some relaxing yoga.

The Crowd

We had an amazing turnout!

Drag Queen Storytime with Akasha L Van-Cartier

Listen to the Last Lady of Pittsburgh, Akasha L Van-Cartier read stories like Julian is a Mermaid and Color the Sky as well as singing songs.

Tree of Knowledge

The theme and center piece of the inaugural event was our Tree of Knowledge which had banned books hung from its branches like the forbidden fruit of Eden. This was the inspiration for the tree dedication ceremony in front of the Mellon Middle School.

Live Mural Painting

Lebo Pride invited local muralist Ashley Hodder to set up and paint during the event. It was amazing watching it come together.

The Awesomeness

Check out all of the artistic photos taken of the decorations and environment.
